In garages the wheel load scales are particularly used for special designed vehicles, to ensure an optimal weight distribution on the wheels. In some cases the vehicle is equipped with a non-original mechanical part which might change the weight distribution, affecting also the loading safety.

After the grape harvest, the trucks must be weighed before and after unloading the fruits in the wine cellar. This task can be easily performed on the spot with portable wheel load scales. The density of vegetables can vary greatly. As a result, many trailers are unknowingly overloaded, putting both the driver and other road users at risk. Incorrectly loaded or overloaded vehicles are difficult to control. A  complicated situation is when an absorbent load like wood is uncovered. if it rains, the original weight will be increased with the absorption of water and the new weight is uncertain.
